Common questions
Do my attendees need to download an app?
No. ClubCruise is a Progressive Web App — attendees tap the link you share, sign in with their email (six-digit code), and they’re in. They can “Add to Home Screen” for a native-feeling icon, but no app store, no install queue.
How does sign-in work without passwords?
Magic-link & OTP. Attendees enter their email, we send a six-digit code (plus a one-click link). Codes expire in 10 minutes; tokens last 90 days of activity. No password to forget, nothing to leak.
Can guests see other clubs’ data?
Never. Every database query is scoped to one club ID at the helper-library layer. We treat tenant isolation as a critical-class bug, with daily synthetic checks in production.
What about push notifications on iPhone?
Supported on iOS 16.4+ once the PWA is added to Home Screen (an Apple requirement). On Android & desktop, push works as soon as the user grants permission.
What does the free tier actually include?
One active event, 25 attendees, 100 MB of photo/route storage, and the full feature set — live map, comms, schedule, GPX routes, push, invite codes. New signups get a 14-day Pro trial automatically. See plan details →
Can I bring my own domain?
Yes. Pro plan unlocks a subdomain (yourclub.clubcruise.debrouillard.ca). Enterprise customers can use a custom domain with Let’s Encrypt SSL.
Who’s behind ClubCruise?
A solo developer in Quebec who’s been building event-coordination tooling for car clubs since 2025. The underlying tech is battle-tested by real-world clubs that run sanctioned and non-sanctioned events.
